For Glenn Aguilar, its not the bike that matters.
Using a borrowed motorbike, Aguilar flaunted the skills that netted him 11 national titles as he ruled the 14th leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed the 1st Hon. Zigfed Povadora Duterte Motocross Challenge held last Saturday in barangay Caduawan, Tabogon town, northern Cebu.
Aguilar, who had to borrow Siegfred Ornopia’s bike, bagged the expert crown, spoiling the return of Irwin Uypitching of Rusi Rusco Team, who settled for first runner-up. Paolo Inoc settled for second runner-up.

On March 25, 2009, one of the most important finds in Philippine archaeology was made in Boljoon, Cebu, when a 1.1-meter necklace was uncovered from one of the burials that were excavated there. The necklace, worn on a probable female burial coded as Burial 43.
Jose G. Santiago and Dante Posadas (of the National Museum) and I began the brushing the neckline of the burial to search for artifacts that day. We were not disappointed. For a long gold loop-in-loop chain (reportedly called “inahas” or snake-like by 16th century natives according to Spanish missionaries) glinted like it was made only yesterday.

ENVIRONMENT lawyers have given the mayors of 32 towns in the province a month to close down their open dump sites or face law suits for violating national laws.
A notice to sue was sent to the mayors through registered mail.
The mayors were those identified by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) as those who have not yet implemented Republic Act 9003, the “Solid Waste Management Act of 2001.”
“We want to tell mayors to exercise political will in keeping their localities clean. Let’s do our share in protecting the government. The law has been there, it’s time to implement it,” said lawyer Gloria Estenzo-Ramos.
